General terms and conditions:
Seat belts must be worn at all times
All passengers must stay seated while the bus is in motion.
No smoking is permitted on any of our buses at any time.
No food and drink is to be consumed ( Except water) unless previously organized.
Any damage on the vehicles caused by a passenger will be charged for the damage repair.
All drivers are to be treated with respect at all times.
Drivers have the right to remove unruly passengers.
Quotations
Quotations are given on the basis of the direct route and on information provided by the
Hirer. The route used will be at the discretion of Southern Cross Bus & Coach charters unless
it has been particularly specified by the Hirer. Toll charges may apply unless agreed earlier in
the quotation.
Cancellations
In an event that you cancel your booking. Southern Cross Bus & Coach Charters reserves the
right to charge a cancellation fee as follows:
Bookings cancelled greater than 24 hours of departure: No loss
Bookings cancelled within 24 hours and 6 hours prior of departure: 50% of the value of the booking.
Bookings Within 6 hours prior to departure – 100% of total value of the booking. If coaches/buses arrive at the pickup location/boarding point and are not required and
have not been cancelled, the full amount will be invoiced as per the booking.
Payments
Payments can be made by direct deposit, cash or credit card. Credit card payments will charge an additional fee of up to 1.50% for VISA and Mastercard and up to 3% for American Express cards of the value of the booking according to the type of credit card used.
Vehicles
Southern Cross Bus Coach Charters reserves the right to provide a larger vehicle than that
specified at no additional charge.
Southern Cross Bus Coach Charters reserves the right to substitute another vehicle, including those of other operators, for all or part of the hire subject to such substitutes being of equal or greater quality.
Conduct of Passengers
Southern Cross Bus Coach Charters will take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety
of all passengers, passengers travel at their own risk.
Passengers should remain seated at all times and put on their seat belts (where fitted)
The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. Any passenger whose conduct is in
breach of statutory regulations may be removed from the vehicle or prevented from boarding
on the driver’s authority. The Hirer will be responsible for the conduct of passengers and for
any damage caused to the vehicle by passengers during the hire.
Southern Cross Bus Coach Charters reserves the right to charge the Hirer for any damage caused during the course of any hire. (including that from intoxicated passengers)
No Smoking, including e-cigarettes is permitted in any of our vehicles. It is against the law in
NSW to smoke in a Public Transport Vehicle.
The driver reserves the right to refuse to transport persons under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, or who are, or are likely to become objectionable to other persons inside or
outside the vehicle. If there is unsociable or unruly behaviour on or off the vehicle at any time,
the driver has the right to terminate the charter immediately and if necessary, call the police.
Any unruly or overly intoxicated passenger may be refused entry to the bus should the driver
feel that he or she may behave poorly, become sick or abusive.
The Hirer is responsible for the cost of repairs resulting from any damage caused to the
vehicle by any members of the hiring party, during the charter or hiring of the vehicle and is
payable as soon as such cost is determined.
